I came here around 2 AM on New Year's Day after an event in downtown San Jose. Surprisingly, there wasn't much of a wait--we only waited about 10 minutes for a table of four. I ordered the 3-pound seafood boil combo with 2 pounds of crawfish and 1 pound of clams. When the server let me know they were out of clams, I swapped them for mussels, and he even gave me 2 pounds of mussels to make up for it, which was awesome. I went with the original Louisiana sauce at a spicy level, and honestly, this was the best seafood boil I've ever had! The sauce was perfectly sweet and spicy, and the seafood tasted super fresh. Some of my crawfish even had eggs, which was a nice surprise! I don't usually get mussels in my boils since they're hit or miss, but these were so meaty, flavorful, and just perfect. Even better, none of the crawfish had that muddy taste you sometimes get at other spots. I love how this place is open til 4am, I sometimes be craving seafood boils at the most ungodly hours of the night. Will definitely be back!

Great spot for seafood boil, especially if it's 3AM and you're craving seafood since they're always open very late! Staff is friendly and accommodating. Their original Louisiana sauce is SO GOOD and is worth raving about. It does take a while to receive food since I've heard there's only one cook and the restaurant is very small with limited seating inside. I ordered the 4lb combo with 3lb shrimp and 1lb crawfish. The crawfish was very tiny and wasn't really worth all the trouble peeling to get barely any meat, but I had no problem with the shrimp. I'd choose Castro Bistro 7 over Kickin' Crab and Boiling Crab, both located within the same proximity. If you're craving seafood boil, try Cajun Bistro 7!

The only cajun seafood boil I know that opens early for lunch. My husband and I came here and was blown away by their Original Louisana. Something about the sauce loaded with mayo made it different and delicious from all other places we've been to. We loved it so much that we came with a bigger group just a few days later to try all their flavors. Original Lousinana was everyone's favorite. Seafood was great but it seems they only have 1 cook so it took awhile for it to come out. Aside from the seafood, the other dishes we tried were subpar. The salted fish fried rice and beef porridge was met. I dont think we'd order again. What we will order is the grilled oyster!

I love this spot and I feel they don't get much recognition unless you're a local here. They have the best sauce all around, it's tangy and sweet. My go to is definitely their Louisiana. All the times I've been here the seafood has not disappointed, the size of their seafood is huge! Not only that but they're open late. We came late one night and they offered us a free pound of our choice, promo they're running past 11pm on weekdays. Please note: service can be a bit slow here and seating is limited.

We were craving garlic noodles and seafood decided to checkout this place. The place is small and was surprisingly crowded at 10 PM. We were seated right away however. We decided to get the garlic butter wings, garlic noodles, and grilled oysters which came out relatively quickly. Garlic Butter Wings (3/5) - These were average and was nothing special. I couldn't really taste the garlic butter. Grilled Oyster (5/5) - The oysters were fresh and juicy. The sauce meshed with the oysters nicely as well. Garlic Noodles (4/5) - The noodles were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed the crispy garlic bits that were added. There is a decent amount of mayo I think so if you're not a fan of mayo, I wouldn't recommend getting this. I'll definitely be coming back here to try their seafood boil!

I wanted to give CB7 another try because I know each visit is a hit-or-miss. This time they didn't disappoint. We revisited on Sunday night around midnight and it was still pretty busy. They even had a larger party seated outdoors. After waiting about 5-10 minutes, we were seated and given menus to order. Garlic noodles - 2.5/5 stars. Great portion, it was served hot and tasted great. However, the issue was I found a short strand of hair on it but did not complain since the staff aren't fluent in English. 4 LB Combo - 5/5 stars. Served with 2 corn cobs, 2 potatoes, and 4 sausages. We ordered sweet california sauce (medium) and the sauce was just perfect. Most of the shrimp were cooked perfectly so it was easier to peel this time. I really like that CB7 did not skimp on the amount of seafood served (unlike other restaurants) Overall 3.75/5 stars. I would like to give it a higher rating for this visit but that one strand of hair

Came here twice--first visit was definitely better but it could have been an off night. Put our name down at 7 pm Saturday, but noticed half the tables weren't bussed. After waiting 25 minutes, they still weren't calling names so I had to come up to let them know we were here, which they then got a table ready. We ordered: - 3 pound combo shrimp/Mild/Sweet California - Parmesan Garlic Noodles Came here mostly for the Parmesan noodles! But was a little disappointed to find that the parmesan noodles were very dry compared to what I had the first time. Not enough sauce added. Sweet California is amazing! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, although the mild barely added any spice. My spice tolerance is on the lower side, so I would opt for medium next time. The sweet California sauce also had mayo and garlic, without it being overbearing. I def recommend to come on a weekday or before rush hour, otherwise expect a bit of a wait to get seated.
